JHS Visits The Center For Jewish History

Board members, volunteers, and staff representing the Jewish Historical Society of North Jersey visited the Center For Jewish History in New York City on Sunday, November 13. Participants were given an orientation of the facility which comprises five educational, cultural and historical institutions including the American Jewish Historical Society, the American Sephardi Federation, the Leo Baeck Institute, Yeshiva University Museum, and YIVO Institute for Jewish Research. The tour included viewing current exhibitions of these respective institutions as well as visiting the Collection Management and Conservation Wing, the Reading Room and Genealogy Institute. The trip provided a most informative and educational experience for all.
