Adam, Eve &Making Room for Everybody with Rabbi Nikki DeBlosi

Dinner, provided by Gyro Gril, at 6:30 MP - Discussion at 7:15 MP

About the program: The terms for gender and sexuality seem to expand daily. Can the Torah help us to understand these words, and our own identities, in a new way? Jewish rituals, and pretty much all of the Hebrew language, seem to rely on narrow ideas about "masculine" and "feminine" ideals. It turns out, though, that the ancient rabbis already knew that sex and gender go beyond "Adam" and "Eve." Bring your curiosity and an open heart to this insightful evening.

Rabbi Niki DeBlosi (she/her) (BA, MA, PhD) connects folks to the breadth and depth of Jewish tradition through inclusive, innovative and insightful Jewish teaching, speaking, and ritual. Born into a Boston Catholic family, she thought she wanted to become a priest; suffice to say, her life eventually led her in a very different direction! She brings her personal experience as a convert, rabbi, parent and queer woman to her Jewish leadership, especially around ideas of gender, sexuality and inclusion.
