After 35 years of a nomadic existence, we, at the Jewish Historical Society of North Jersey, have arrived at a critical crossroad in our existence.  We have collected an amazing history of 150 years of Jewish life in North Jersey.  Currently, our extraordinary collection is being stored in the basement of the former Barnert Memorial Hospital in Paterson which limits its access to the Jewish population in the surrounding towns.  We have recently contracted to purchase a 2500 sq. foot location in Fair  Lawn where our priceless collection can be available to any and all interested parties.  In order to accomplish a smooth transition we are in urgent need of $250,000 to accommodate the purchase and renovation of our new home.  We respectfully ask that you consider a donation in an amount with which you are comfortable to aid us in our goal of transforming our warehouse into a museum worthy of its contents. Your financial support of the JHSNJ is vital right now if we want the achievements of our mothers and fathers to live forever.
