Bringing back memories of our trips to the Catskills, who could forget the stops at the Red Apple Rest. The crowd could almost taste the food and remember where they sat after taking a break from a long trip.
Elaine Freed Lindenblatt, a daughter of the owner of the Red Apple Rest, reminding us of those glory days.
On October 28, 2018 we kicked off our “Y days Exhibit”. A large gathering admired the array of historic “Y” photos on display and Jordon Shenker, the CEO of the Kaplen JCC on the Palisade, spoke about the advent and activities and programs of the JCC movement.
The JHSNJ is now featuring an exhibit of photos, documents, the time capsule from the Wayne “Y”, and other memorabilia from the YM/YWHA’s of Northern New Jersey. If people have any memorabilia , photos, etc to share we’d love to include them so please contact us at 201-300-6590. Visitors are welcome to visit on Mondays and Wednesdays from 11:00 am – 3:00 pm.
