Mystery Bonus Photo No. 2: This photo is also from Metz Cohn’s collection. It came as part of a season’s greeting card dated December 1951 and signed “We hope you like our men as much as we do . . . Esther, Ann Linn and Cipora.” We are sure someone out there can clear up this mystery.

In anticipation of Veterans Day, this week’s Photo Friday honors the members of our community who served our country.
Isaac “Jiggs” Rosen, decorated World War II ambulance driver who heroically drove carefully across minefields to pick up wounded soldiers in France. Here he is relaxing for this photo taken in May 1943.
Bill Guttenberg, 1945. Bill was wounded prior to crossing the Rhine River into Germany. He and his wife Adele were later among the founders of Spectrum for Living, and gave generously to the New Jersey Institute of Technology, Bill’s alma mater (Newark College of Engineering).
