Front and Center is Dr. Victor Borden's mother, Mina Flattau Borden.  She is flanked by her husband Roman Borden on the left and his twin brother Adam on the right.  Their Aunt Anna Bornstein (Julian Bornstein's mom) is seated.  This moment is the first time since 1939 that the twin brothers have seen each other.  They both survived in different slave labor camps in Siberia.  Photo is c. 1958.

Alex Solinsky (father of Beverly), a member of the Citizen's Military Training Camp program in 1936. The C.M.T.C. was authorized under the National Defense Act of 1920. During the summers of 1921-1940 it provided basic military training to male citizens without obligating them to an active duty commitment.Location unknown.

Martha Hochheiser Gordon. Martha was born on December 17, 1889 and passed away in January 1992 at 102 years of age.This formidable woman was a long-time member of 'Mizrahi Women' and a staunch supporter of the State of Israel. She served for decades (even into her 90's!) as the librarian of Temple Emanuel in Paterson. Martha's grandfather Jacob emigrated from Kovno (Kaunas), Lithuania in about 1860 and settled in Paterson. Jacob was a founder of the Water Street Shul. Martha's son Cecil served for a time as president of Temple Emanuel.
